List of Sports at the 1992 Winter Paralympic Games
The 1992 Paralympic Winter Games was held in Tignes/Albertville, France. There were three sports on the program, and 78 events overall. Compared to the previous Winter Paralympics in 1988, the sport of ice sledge racing has been removed. Here is a list of the sports.
1992 Paralympic Sports List
- Para alpine skiing - Para alpine skiers with physical, vision or intellectual impairments compete in downhill, slalom, giant slalom, super-G and combined events, racing individually against the clock.
- Para biathlon - Athletes with physical or vision impairments compete in cross-country skiing races that include rifle shooting, with penalties added for missed targets.
- Para cross-country skiing - Athletes with physical or vision impairments race over long distances using standing, sitting or visually guided classifications.
