List of Golf Clubs and Loft Angles
The loft angle of a golf club is the angle of the clubface that controls how high and how far the ball travels. Different clubs have different lofts to produce a range of distances and trajectories. The table below shows the typical loft angle ranges for each type of golf club. The actual lofts vary by manufacturer and custom fittings. A player can choose to have up to 14 clubs in his bag.
