Africa Cup of Nations

The Africa Cup of Nations is Africa’s premier international men’s football tournament. Organised by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), the competition first took place in 1957. Since 1968, it has been staged every two years, and it is now played in odd-numbered years. There is also an equivalent women's Africa Cup of Nations.
