List of Sports at the 1984 Winter Paralympic Games
The 1984 Paralympic Winter Games was held in Innsbruck, Austria. There were three sports on the program, and 107 events overall. There was no change to the sports compared to the previous Winter Paralympics. Here is a list of the sports.
1984 Paralympic Sports List
- Para alpine skiing - Para alpine skiers with physical, vision or intellectual impairments compete in downhill, slalom, giant slalom, super-G and combined events, racing individually against the clock.
- Para cross-country skiing - Athletes with physical or vision impairments race over long distances using standing, sitting or visually guided classifications.
- Ice sled racing - Athletes with lower-body impairments race on ice using lightweight sledges with blades, propelling themselves with spiked poles in short-distance speed events.
