Pacific Games: Participating Nations

The Pacific Games is an international multi-sport event for athletes from nations of the Oceania region. Listed are all countries, past and present, which have participated at the Pacific Games, with the dates they attended. The 2027 Pacific Games are expected to have all 22 Pacific Games Council members attend, plus the invited Australia and New Zealand.

Notes:

Only six teams have attended every Pacific Games: Fiji, French Polynesia, New Caledonia, Papua New Guinea, Tonga and Vanuatu.
Australia and New Zealand are not members of the Pacific Games Council - they compete by invitation.
Papua New Guinea participated under its former name of Papua and New Guinea from 1963 to 1971.
Samoa participated under its former name of Western Samoa from 1963 to 1995.
Vanuatu participated under its former name of New Hebrides from 1963 to 1979.
The Gilbert and Ellice Islands comprised future participants Kiribati, Tokelau, and Tuvalu.
The Trust Territory of Micronesia comprised future participants Federated States of Micronesia, Marshall Islands, Northern Mariana Islands, and Palau.
